Pop superstar Taylor Swift finally appeared on the New Heights podcast alongside her boyfriend Travis Kelce, whom she never let go of throughout the show, and her brother-in-law Jason Kelce, in an out-of-this-world episode that drew over a million people connected during its live stream premiere.

The musical performer talked about everything, dropping several bombshells in the episode, including announcing her new album and sharing her own perspective on how she met Travis Kelce. But beyond these topics, she also shared a surprising and unique anecdote about the moment the Kansas City Chiefs selected Xavier Worthy.

Taylor Swift’s anecdote with Xavier Worthy

It was inevitable that at some point in her relationship, Swift would deepen her knowledge of football, and that’s exactly what happened. She was overcome with excitement when she learned that Xavier Worthy from the Texas Longhorns was drafted by the Chiefs in the NFL Draft 2024, even screaming when it happened.

In response to Taylor Swift‘s comments, the University of Texas reacted with a post on their X account.

“Taylor knows ball,” they wrote in the post, which featured the star’s appearance on New Heights alongside a highlight reel of Xavier Worthy‘s best plays.

The Chiefs‘ wide receiver had a highly successful rookie year as a professional, playing in all 17 regular-season games, recording 59 receptions for 638 yards and six touchdowns.

Now, it’s no secret that he’s undoubtedly one of Taylor Swift’s favorite players.
