Taylor Swift has once again proven she’s all in on Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs-this time by throwing her support behind the team’s new ESPN docuseries, The Kingdom.
Director Kristen Lappas revealed that Swift personally “approved all of her image and likeness” for the six-part project and was “very supportive” of its production. While the filmmakers chose not to interview her in order to keep the focus on the franchise, Chiefs exec Lara Krug said Swift is shown “in the way that she wanted to be seen-as a fan of the community.”
The series, which chronicles the Chiefs’ 2024 season while highlighting the dynasty’s storied history, features Kelce alongside Patrick Mahomes, Chris Jones, and legendary coach Andy Reid. But Swift’s quiet stamp of approval ensures her presence looms large in the background.

Her involvement isn’t surprising. Since going public with Kelce in 2023, Swift has transformed into one of football’s most high-profile superfans. She’s been spotted at games across the country and even admitted on Kelce’s New Heights podcast that she went from not knowing what a first down was to obsessively tracking draft picks.
“I became like a person who was running through the halls of my house screaming, ‘We just drafted Xavier Worthy,'” Swift joked. “My friends were like, ‘Who body snatched you?'”
Kelce, for his part, has gushed over her fandom, telling GQ: “She is the most engulfed fan now. She knows what the injury reports look like… she just naturally loves to hear about my job.”
Travis also supports Taylor in everything
And the support goes both ways. Just as Swift cheers in the stands, Kelce admits he relishes being in the crowd at her sold-out concerts: “I get to go and be that fan. Because I am a fan.”
With The Kingdom now set to premiere, fans will get an inside look at football’s reigning dynasty-backed by the NFL’s most talked-about power couple.
