Taylor Swift confirms she will continue supporting Travis Kelce during the 2025 NFL season

Pop superstar Taylor Swift has made a key decision ahead of the 2025 NFL season: she will once again attend Kansas City Chiefs games to support her partner, Travis Kelce. Despite the media frenzy-and even some criticism-that surrounded her appearances last season, Swift is doubling down on commitment.

Swift, who made waves on social media and was even booed when she appeared on the Super Bowl screens, plans to be present at as many games as her music schedule allows. Sources close to the couple confirm that “of course” she will be cheering Kelce on from the stands once again.

This confirmation comes alongside major news for Chiefs fans: Travis Kelce has decided to continue playing the NFL, ruling out retirement after last season’s tough Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, where the Chiefs were defeated 40-22 in New Orleans.

Swift helped influence Kelce’s decision: “She wants him to retire at the top”

According to reports, Taylor Swift played role in Kelce’s decision to keep competing. While the final call was ultimately his, those close to the couple say Swift encouraged him to keep playing because she wants to see him end his career on a high note.

Aware that his personal performance didn’t match his usual standards last season, Kelce has vowed to come back in peak form for the upcoming campaign.

“I’ll be back, no doubt. I’m going to try to be in the best shape of my career this preseason,” he shared in a statement read by Pat McAfee. Kelce emphasized he can’t “go out like this,” referring to the disappointing end to last season.

Historic records and a promise of redemption

Despite posting his lowest reception numbers since 2014, Kelce still finished in the top 5 among tight ends with 823 receiving yards. During the Super Bowl, he even broke a historic record, reaching 35 total receptions in Super Bowl games, surpassing the legendary Jerry Rice’s mark of 33.

LAPRESSE

That milestone is unlikely to be surpassed any time soon, as no current player is close to his numbers. At 35, Kelce isn’t just aiming to keep playing-he wants to do it at an elite level, fueled by personal ambition and Swift’s unwavering support.

A season shaped by love and ambition

With Taylor Swift determined to stand by Travis Kelce’s side in the stadiums and Kelce focused on returning to top form, the Kansas City Chiefs’ upcoming season promises excitement both on and off the field.

Their relationship has become a cultural phenomenon, and now it adds a new chapter-one driven by love, resilience, and the shared desire to finish strong.
