Robert Irwin is still waiting on a reply from Taylor Swift about his invitation to host her wedding to Travis Kelce at Australia Zoo. The popular conservationist – and son of the legendary Steve Irwin – recently discussed his pitch to the star couple during an appearance on Australian radio showThe Smallzy Show.
Robert Irwin pitches Australia Zoo wedding
Previously Irwin claimed he would open the gates of the zoo he manages for Kelce and Swift’s big day.
“Not yet,” Irwin said with a laugh when asked if Swift had accepted his generous offer. “Not yet being the operative word. We will see.”
The 22-year-old who appeared on Dancing With the Stars explained why the zoo would be a unique venue: “Weddings at the zoo. I mean, what says romance more than having an apex predator and crocodiles at your wedding, right?”
Irwin gushed about the location, highlighting the zoo’s scenic appeal: “You know what’d really, in my opinion, just absolutely make that wedding is if it was an Australian wedding. One of the things that we do that is the most popular is weddings at Australia Zoo. We have hosted many.
“We have this beautiful location overlooking the African savanna, where rhinos and giraffes are just frolicking out in the open in the wild, and you get married over that, and it’s stunning.”
Irwin concluded his pitch directly to the couple: ‘So Travis and Taylor, hit me up. I got you!’
