Tavia Hunt balances Chiefs cheer auditions with private health scare

As hopeful dancers took to the stage for the final round of Kansas City Chiefs cheerleading auditions, Tavia Hunt stood proudly among them, her trademark enthusiasm on full display. While the Chiefs continue shaping their offseason football roster, another vital team – the 2025 Chiefs Cheer squad – is forming behind the scenes, with Hunt at its heart.

A longtime champion of the squad and wife of Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt, Tavia shared her support for this year’s group of 62 finalists with a five-word message that summed up the weekend: “An amazing weekend of auditions!” She reposted the sentiment on her Instagram Story after the team’s official account praised the dedication of the finalists. In the caption, the team wrote, “The best weekend with the most talented group. To our 62 finalists: Thank you for pouring your hearts and souls into this process and this weekend.”

Tavia, 53, echoed the excitement in the comments, writing, “2025 CC’s are going to be EPIC!” The moment marked another joyful milestone in her close connection with the Chiefs cheerleading program.

Tavia Hunt raises concerns over glyphosate exposure

But beneath the celebration, Hunt is privately facing a health issue that has surprised many of her fans. Known for her outspoken advocacy of healthy living, she revealed last week that recent medical testing showed high levels of glyphosate – a controversial chemical found in herbicides like Roundup – in her body.

“I am a super healthy person,” Hunt wrote in an Instagram Story. “I have already thrown out all plastic and made other changes, so super surprised by this. We need to demand better from those who are in charge and are supposed to protect public health.”

The revelation has sparked concern and conversations among her followers, many of whom regard Hunt as a voice for holistic and clean living. Glyphosate has been the subject of scientific scrutiny for years, with some studies linking it to hormone disruption and increased cancer risk. For someone as health-conscious as Hunt, the findings were unsettling.

Tavia has yet to outline any next steps publicly, but given her track record as both a wellness advocate and community figure, it’s likely she’ll turn this personal experience into an opportunity for greater awareness.

In the past, she has used her platform – which includes over 130,000 Instagram followers – to share healthy recipes, promote organic living, and raise awareness on environmental health.

Even as the Chiefs prepare to finalize their cheer squad and training camp roster, Tavia‘s presence continues to inspire.

Her public support of the dancers, mixed with a candid health admission, reminds fans that behind the glam and game-day spirit, real challenges persist.

Whether on the sidelines or online, Tavia Hunt is leading with both grace and grit – setting the tone for a new season of resilience in Kansas City.
