Sydney Thomas, the viral boxing ring girl who stole the spotlight during the Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson fight in November 2024, has opened up about the challenges and rewards of her newfound fame.

Known for her stunning appearance and dubbed the ‘real winner’ by fans after the lackluster bout, Thomas has become a major social media star with a rapidly growing following.

Since that unforgettable night, Thomas, who now has over a million TikTok followers, has seen her popularity surge. She’s attended high-profile events like the Grammys earlier this month and is currently in New Orleans ahead of the Super Bowl. But with her newfound fame comes an adjustment to life in the public eye.

How is Sydney Thomas coping with life in the public eye?

At a Sports Illustrated event, Thomas admitted that being recognized in public has been a big change for her.

“I get people coming up to me now and asking for pictures, that’s been an adjustment for me,” she told the Daily Mail.

“It’s weird walking around in public now and getting recognized. I never really thought that’s a position I’d be in. It’s great but it’s also a bit overwhelming.”

Despite the overwhelming nature of fame, Thomas has learned to navigate her new lifestyle, maintaining her role as a ring girl while growing her influence on social media.

With her rising popularity, Thomas is now looking ahead to new opportunities. Though she’s continued working with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions team, she’s also considering branching out into broadcasting.

“I want to continue working in the sports section of things,” she shared.

“I’m obviously gonna continue working with Jake Paul’s promotional team MVP doing boxing matches, and then I don’t know. Potentially broadcasting… I like being on camera, so any on-camera work.”

Her ambitions show that there is more in store for Thomas, who may soon find herself in new roles, both on and off the screen.

This weekend, all eyes are on the Super Bowl, where Thomas is joining the Kansas City Chiefs fans in New Orleans. As a proud St. Louis native, she revealed that she’s rooting for the Chiefs to come out on top.

“I think I’m gonna go to a tailgate beforehand and then go to the game,” she said, excited to immerse herself in the Super Bowl festivities with fellow fans.
