After his recent Super Bowl LX victory, Sam Darnold is proving that being a champion doesn’t end when the trophy is lifted and the confetti falls. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback made a surprise appearance at the unofficial opening of Raising Cane’s on the Ave, where fans packed the streets just to see him. What started as a simple commercial shoot quickly turned into a fun moment for the crowd, with playful gestures through the glass and even a reminder of his past, connecting his Super Bowl present to the beginning of his NFL journey.

Sam doesn’t stop after his Super Bowl LX win

The Super Bowl LX-winning QB, Sam Darnold of the Seattle Seahawks, isn’t slowing down. Even after winning the big game, he keeps showing up and fulfilling his duties as a champion. This time, he appeared at the unofficial opening of Raising Cane’s on the Ave in Seattle, where people were already waiting for him. As he stepped out of his car, NFL fans cheered, filmed him, and shouted his name. Darnold smiled, waved, walked into the fast-food spot, and embraced the love from the crowd.

Sam was inside the restaurant getting ready to film a commercial, sitting calmly in front of a tray of fast food during the promotional photo shoot for Raising Cane’s when the unexpected happened. With fans packed against the glass watching his every bite, Darnold suddenly turned, smiled, and jokingly motioned for them to eat too, giving a thumbs-up, approving the food, and having fun with the crowd.

During that same moment, while fans were enjoying the scene outside and Sam Darnold was filming the commercial, a sports reporter on site took the opportunity to ask him an interesting question related to the fans of the New York Jets, the team that selected him third overall in the 2018 Draft out of the USC Trojans. In the middle of the relaxed and celebratory atmosphere following his Super Bowl LX win with the Seahawks, the question brought up Darnold’s past in New York, connecting his present as a champion to the beginning of his NFL career.

Instead of disappearing after lifting the Lombardi Trophy, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback keeps showing up for fans and taking every chance that comes with being an NFL champion.
