If the theory were to hold any weight, it could spell trouble for the Kansas City Chiefs as they prepare for their potential historic three-peat.
The conspiracy theory first gained traction ahead of Super Bowl 56 when fans noticed an uncanny resemblance between the official logo’s colors and those of the teams that ultimately played in the game.
The 2022 matchup featured the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals, and the official Super Bowl logo incorporated blue and orange, closely matching the teams’ colors.

A similar trend was observed for Super Bowl 57, where the Eagles and Chiefs took center stage-conveniently aligning with the green and red hues found in the logo.
This led to widespread speculation that the NFL might be subtly hinting at the Super Bowl teams through its branding choices.
The idea caught on even more in 2023 when the official Super Bowl 58 logo featured red, purple, and dark green-coincidentally, the colors associated with the Chiefs, Ravens, and Eagles.
While this correlation may seem intriguing, skeptics argue that it is purely coincidental.
Earlier this week, NFL journalist Mike Payton shared a supposed leaked logo for Super Bowl LX, which will be held in the San Francisco Bay Area in 2026.
The color scheme in this design featured a mix of blue and gray, prompting wild theories about a future matchup involving teams like the Detroit Lions, Buffalo Bills, or Los Angeles Chargers.
Social media erupted with speculation, with one fan confidently posting, “This color scheme makes it look like the Lions are going 17-0.” Others predicted a potential Lions-Bills or Lions-Chargers showdown, while some remained unconvinced.
“This isn’t even the official logo, and the Lions will NEVER make a Super Bowl,” one skeptic wrote.
Does the Theory Hold Any Weight?
Despite the intriguing observations, the theory has already faced major debunking. In 2024, the Baltimore Ravens, one of the teams whose colors matched the Super Bowl logo, did not make it to the big game.
Instead, the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers secured their spots, proving that the color scheme does not necessarily predict the final contenders.
However, some fans refuse to dismiss the idea entirely. “This isn’t the real logo; HOWEVER, it’s almost impossible to ignore at this point,” one fan commented.
Others jokingly suggested that regardless of what the logo indicates, the Chiefs will still find their way to the Super Bowl, with one remarking, “Someway or another, KC still making it to the SB lmao.”
With Super Bowl 59 just around the corner, featuring a matchup between the Chiefs and the Eagles, the theory remains a fun, albeit far-fetched, conversation starter.
