It is precisely in honor of the city that the NFL has designed a series of presentations in the PreGame Show that pay homage to its music and culture, so the presence of Jon Batiste, Trombone Shorty, Lauren Daigle and Ledisi is aligned with this intention, which will serve as an appetizer for the main course, the highly anticipated halftime show featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar.
What will each artist sing at the Super Bowl PreGame Show?
The multi-award-winning New Orleans native Jon Batiste will perform the national anthem, while fellow New Orleans Grammy Award-winning musician and producer Trombone Shorty will perform “America the Beautiful” alongside Lauren Daigle, a powerful Grammy, American Music and Billboard Music Award-winning singer.
Another Grammy winner, also born in the city and a cultural emblem of the city, Ledisi will perform “Lift Every Voice and Sing”. All performers will be accompanied in sign language, Otis Jones IV will do so in the latter and Stephanie Nogueras will do so in the “Star-Spangled Banner” and “America the Beautiful”.
