Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James recently took to Instagram to show off a new hobby: golf. In a series of videos, LeBron shared clips of himself practicing his swing, clearly enjoying the challenge of the sport.
In the caption, he described his experience with enthusiasm-welcoming golf into his life like a long-lost friend. But of course, social media never lets moments like this pass without some playful trolling.
Curry’s Perfect Impression Steals the Show
Enter Stephen Curry, the Golden State Warriors‘ sharpshooter and part-time golf legend.
During the 36th Annual American Century Championship, Curry delivered a hilarious impersonation of LeBron’s follow-through on the golf course. With perfect timing and a big grin, he poked fun at the Lakers star:
“Unbelievable impersonation of my guy Bron’s follow-through in a golf swing. We all want to welcome LeBron James to the world of golf because the game needs you, big fella,” Curry joked.
Curry even slid into the comments of LeBron‘s post: “Welcome. We’ve been waiting for you.”
He wasn’t the only one getting in on the fun. LeBron‘s teammates Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura also playfully teased him in the comments, proving that even in the offseason, team chemistry is alive and well.
Golf isn’t the only place LeBron is making headlines. On a recent episode of the Mind the Game podcast, LeBron was joined by Kevin Durant and Steve Nash for a laid-back but insightful conversation.
During a group photo, Durant and Nash seemed uncertain about where to stand, prompting LeBron to joke: “Y’all still fighting.”
It was a light moment that went viral-adding another chapter to the playful back-and-forth between NBA veterans.
Despite the offseason fun, LeBron continues to prove he’s not slowing down. During the 2024-25 NBA season, he posted stellar numbers: 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds… across 70 games.
His performance helped lead the Lakers to the postseason alongside co-star Luka Doncic. However, their playoff run ended in a tough first-round matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
