Stephen Curry pays sneaker tribute to Kobe Bryant: How much do the special edition Adidas cost?

Signature sneaker deals in the NBA are more important than in any other American sport. Elite players become synonymous with their brands, putting out shoes that withstand the test of time and become a part of basketball and lifestyle culture.

So when Stephen Curry split with Under Armour in November, it was massive news. After over a decade collaborating with Under Armour, Curry became a sneaker free agent for the first time since 2013. Curry’s previous ties to Nike had many thinking he would go back, but as of right now, Curry has no plans to sign with anyone else. After all, he still has full ownership of his Curry Brand.

During this time as a free agent, Curry has used the freedom to show up to games in all kinds of sneakers from all kinds of brands. His latest choice might be one of the most epic, since it’s a tribute to the late, great Kobe Bryant.

Stephen Curry wears $1,000 Kobe Bryant Adidas signature shoe to Warriors-Lakers game

Curry showed up for the Golden State Warriors vs. Los Angeles Lakers game in the yellow colorway of the Adidas Crazy 2 SLAM 30th Anniversary. The Crazy 2 was Bryant’s second signature shoe with Adidas before joining Nike. In what used to be Bryant’s stomping grounds, Curry had to pay his respects.

The sneaker Curry wore is incredibly hard to find online. Fans will have to do a major deep dive to find a pair that isn’t pre-owned. The yellow colorway seems to be even harder to track down. There are a few pairs available on eBay, with the cheapest coming in at $800 and ranging up to $1,000.

There’s also a light blue colorway of that same sneaker, and it’s generally more expensive. The blue one is going for $1,500 up to $2,000.
