Stephen Curry is not only redefining his future in the footwear market; he is also expanding his influence in the entertainment industry with an unexpected move: a partnership with actress and producer Halle Berry.
The Golden State Warriors point guard announced a strategic collaboration between his company, Unanimous Media, and HalleHolly, the creative label led by the Academy Award winner. The goal is clear: to drive unscripted projects that prioritize character-centered stories led by women, with the intention of transforming the dominant narrative on screen.
Berry emphasized that the partnership was born from a deep alignment of principles and creative vision. “It’s rare to find a collaboration with people who think so similarly. Holly and I are incredibly aligned with Unanimous in our commitment to integrity when creating bold and innovative stories, pushing boundaries to open hearts and minds,” she stated.
An empire growing beyond basketball
Since its creation in 2018, Unanimous Media has built its identity around themes such as faith, family, and sports. With this first-look agreement, the production company expands its scope toward stories that celebrate resilience and human creativity. “Together, we are committed to bringing fresh and underrepresented narratives to the screen. Most importantly, we are excited to continue championing stories that celebrate strength,” Curry and his partner Erick Peyton said.
The announcement comes at a key moment for the player. At 37 years old, and after becoming the oldest point guard to be selected as an All-Star starter, Curry makes it clear that his business expansion should not be interpreted as a preview of retirement.
A contrast with his split from Under Armour
Curry’s push into Hollywood comes as he faces a complicated separation from Under Armour. What initially appeared to be an amicable departure turned into a public dispute over digital assets. According to Sole Retriever, the failure to meet certain requirements caused the Curry Brand Instagram account to lose 497,000 followers, which were automatically transferred to the Under Armour Basketball account.
“We have been told that specific requirements were communicated to Stephen Curry to maintain ownership and control of these assets… and that his failure to comply resulted in the transfer,” the report states.
Today, as Curry appears publicly wearing different sneaker brands after becoming a free agent, his move into film and television confirms that his legacy no longer depends on a single corporate partnership, but on a broader and more diversified vision.
