Steph Curry dominance puts him at the top of the most likable players in the NBA with no signs of stopping

Stephen Curry‘s influence on the NBA shows no signs of fading, even as he moves deeper into his late 30s. The Golden State Warriors star is once again among the league’s most popular and impactful players, ranking third among Western Conference players in the first round of NBA All-Star fan voting.

The result underscores how central Curry remains to the league’s identity as he navigates his 17th NBA season, and his 16th full one on the court. According to voting totals released by the league on Monday, Curry received 1,031,455 fan votes, making him one of only three players in the Western Conference to surpass the one-million mark.

Only Los Angeles Lakers Luka Doncic, with 1,249,518 votes, and Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic, with 1,128,962, finished ahead of him. The strong showing reflects not just Curry‘s popularity, but his continued elite production in a season where fan voting is now position-less, listing the top 20 players in each conference regardless of role.

Curry continues to shatter records

Curry‘s on-court performance helps explain why his appeal remains so strong. He recently became the 22nd player in NBA history to reach 26,000 career points and has been one of the league’s most dangerous scorers this month. He is currently third in the league in scoring over that span, averaging 31.1 points per game, while continuing to stretch defenses in ways few players ever have.

Earlier this season, Curry passed Michael Jordan for the most 40-point games after turning 30, a record that further highlights the longevity of his prime. Beyond raw scoring, Curry continues to redefine offensive gravity in the modern NBA.

He leads the league in made three-pointers per game at 4.8 and also tops the NBA‘s gravity metric, a stat designed to measure how much a player draws defenders away from their expected positions. Curry’s league-leading gravity score of 20.4 reflects how his presence alone reshapes opposing defensive schemes, opening opportunities for teammates and driving Golden State‘s offense.

A Curry teammate is also popular

While Curry headlines the Warriors‘ All-Star case, teammate Jimmy Butler III also appeared prominently in the voting returns. Butler finished 17th among Western Conference players with 111,411 votes, placing him among 17 players in the conference to reach six figures.

Jimmy has quietly put together the most efficient season of his career, posting career highs in field goal percentage, three-point shooting, effective field goal percentage and true shooting percentage. His all-around production places him in rare company alongside stars such as Jokic, Doncic and James Harden.

Curry’s standing in the All-Star voting reflects more than nostalgia or name recognition. In his 17th season, he continues to produce at a level that places him among the league’s elite scorers and most influential offensive players. As the Warriors push through another demanding campaign, Curry’s combination of performance, durability and fan support shows that his impact on the NBA remains as powerful as ever.
