After the heavy beating they took in the last Super Bowl against the Philadelphia Eagles, the Kansas City Chiefs have started to raise many questions heading into 2025. The mental wear is very high, Patrick Mahomes looks uncomfortable, and Travis Kelce has been gradually fading.

It’s normal-everything has a beginning and an end. Tom Brady’s New England Patriots, Stephen Curry’s Golden State Warriors… the most recent dynasties in sports that eventually ended. And while Patrick Mahomes has taught us never to doubt him at any moment, he cannot do it all on his own either.

Perhaps the weapons Mahomes currently has are not enough to compete with the big teams in the AFC, such as the Ravens and the Bills. On top of that, his own division, the AFC West, is extremely tough.

In addition, his division is very tough: the Denver Broncos seem poised to be strong contenders in the AFC West, Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers will also fight hard, and the Raiders could make a big step forward to compete. The situation looks very difficult for the Chiefs.
