Simone Biles shows her love for Jonathan Owens with an outfit that’s on another level

On an especially chilly Sunday night in the Windy City during the NFC divisional playoff clash between the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Rams, Simone Biles commanded attention on the sideline in more ways than one.

Rather than fading into the crowd, the 11-time Olympic medalist turned heads in a striking custom jacket that put her husband, Bears safety Jonathan Owens, front and center.

The tailored piece wasn’t just another celebrity game-day outfit. It was a visual tribute, emblazoned with Owens‘ name and No. 36, marking a new chapter in her high-profile support of her husband’s gridiron journey.

Biles has become a fixture at Bears games this season, not just as a spectator but as a stylish presence whose fashion statements have trended as widely as scoring plays.

For Sunday’s matchup, she opted for a sleek all-black base layered with a leather and varsity-inspired coat customized with Chicago‘s orange and black palette and “OWENS” in bold letters on the back, followed by his jersey number.

The video shared by Sunday Night Football on X showed Biles stepping onto the field just before kickoff, giving fans a front-row look at her outfit and her enthusiasm.

The couple began dating in 2020 and wed in Mexico in April 2023. Owens, a safety, signed with the Bears in 2024 after stints with the Houston Texans and Green Bay Packers, and he has since been a regular contributor to Chicago‘s defense.

Biles‘ presence at NFL games throughout the season has turned into something of a phenomenon.

At a wild-card playoff victory over the Green Bay Packers on January 10, she brought what she called her “good luck bear,” a tiny teddy charm attached to her handbag, while sporting a brown fur coat detailed with orange print reading “Owens” and “36” on the front.

On the back was a large image of Owens in his Bears uniform, signaling Biles‘ unmistakable allegiance.

Bears battle back, but fall short

The Bears entered the matchup as NFC North champions with an 11-6 record, a dramatic turnaround in Ben Johnson‘s first season as head coach.

Chicago‘s defense held firm for much of the night, and the offense rallied from a 17-10 fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime. But Caleb Williams‘ late interception in extra time shifted momentum irrevocably toward the Rams.

On that pivotal play, Williams attempted a deep sideline pass to wide receiver D.J. Moore, who had earlier scored in the game.

The ball was intercepted by Curl, and analysts and fans alike debated whether a miscommunication or execution error on Chicago‘s part contributed to the turnover. Williams, however, pointed to miscommunication rather than placing blame.

Despite the bitter ending, Williams set franchise marks in passing yards while displaying the kind of playmaking ability that had fans dreaming of what’s to come.
