The Los Angeles Dodgers remain at the top of the National League West with 82 wins. The team’s good performance throughout the current season has been largely due to Shohei Ohtani, the Japanese star who continues to shine in MLB, so much so that he has managed to surpass in numbers a historic player of the Seattle Mariners.

Dave Roberts‘ team swept the Rockies with a 9-0 victory on Wednesday at Dodger Stadium. Blake Snell had a great quality start with six innings of 11 strikeouts without allowing a run and Mookie Betts led the offense with a grand slam. In addition, San Diego fell again to Cincinnati and the Dodgers enjoy a three-game lead in the National League West.

Ken Griffey is surpassed by Shohei Ohtani in home runs and stolen bases

Los Angeles Dodgers star Shohei Ohtani continues to redefine expectations in baseball. The Dodgers slugger has not only demonstrated power at the plate, but has also incorporated exceptional speed. Since the start of last season, Ohtani has hit 102 home runs and stolen 77 bases.

No other player in history has combined that level of power with such exceptional speed, surpassing even Ken Griffey Jr. at his best, which strengthens Shohei Ohtani’s aspirations to be the Most Valuable Player in the National League. This streak stands as one of the most unique in baseball history.

Tyler Glasnow speaks out about change against Rockies

On September 8, Tyler Glasnow was having a magical night at Dodger Stadium. With each pitch, Dodgers fans rose from their seats, hoping to see history. Glasnow had dominated Colorado for seven innings, not allowing a single hit. However, Dave Roberts made the difficult decision to pull him from the game.

The manager, thinking about the future and the health of the pitcher, chose to preserve him for the playoffs. On the ‘Foul Territory’ podcast, Glasnow expressed his understanding of Roberts’ decision. “I respect the decision to take me out,” commented the pitcher. Despite his desire to continue, Glasnow recognized the importance of being healthy for the upcoming challenges.
