Baseball fans are enjoying a great moment in the 2025 season with games where home runs have flourished in every MLB ballpark. This has allowed a new record to be set in Major League Baseball history, where for the first time five players have surpassed the 30 home run mark prior to the All-Star Game, the midpoint of the season.

Could Major League Baseball fans witness a home run race so tight that they even surpass the 70 home run mark by the end of the campaign? The numbers and statistics have contemplated this, which is why it has been predicted that the 2025 season will be a year where the total number of home runs could be broken.

Who is at the top of the MLB home run list?

Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh leads the list with 38 home runs, proving that his swing is one of the best in the Major Leagues. However, a powerful bat is on the hunt for the lead in the hands of New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, who has gone over the wall 35 times, establishing himself as one of the most feared sluggers in the league.

Japanese phenomenon Shohei Ohtani continues to make history, not only from the mound, but also with the bat. With 32 home runs, the Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher continues to amaze fans with his natural talent. Eugenio Suarez and Kyle Schwarber complete this power quintet, with 31 and 30 home runs respectively, showing that Latin power and American strength are more alive than ever on the diamond.

Show off the bat at the 2025 Home Run Derby

During the All-Star Game Week, the Home Run Derby will take place where the players will demonstrate their strength to place the ball on the other side of the fence. This year, the Run Derby will not only be an unmissable event because of the names that will participate, but also because of the millionaire prize pool that will be at stake. Among the favorite players to win this edition are Shohei Ohtani (LAD), Julio Rodriguez (SEA), Pete Alonso (CHC), Yordan Alvarez (HOU) and Elly De La Cruz (CIN).

Year after year, the MLB Home Run Derby has also become a key platform for Latino baseball players. In recent editions, names such as Juan Soto, Ronald Acuna Jr. and Julio Rodriguez have been great protagonists, showing that Latino power dominates strongly in the Major Leagues.
