Shilo Sanders is on a roll with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as the undrafted rookie safety continues to improve and adapt to the NFL pace.

The defensive back, who’s known for his determination and grind to make it in the league, has continued to cause a good impression among coaches and teammates.

The ultimate goal for one of the sons of Deion “Prime Time” Sanders is to make the final 53-man roster for the Bucs and make the most out of the opportunities he could get to go out and perform during the 2025 regular season.

Shilo’s a fan favorite and it shows

While his brother Shedeur is battling for a spot with the Cleveland Browns, Shilo Sanders is earning love in Tampa Bay. After every training camp session, kids rush to him for autographs and photos, and he doesn’t leave until every request is met.

The 25-year-old safety is fighting for a roster spot in a young Buccaneers secondary, but he already feels like a fan favorite. Signing balls, shirts, and posing for pictures, Shilo shows the kind of personality that wins over a franchise and an entire city.

Head coach Todd Bowles says Sanders is getting the scheme down and could make the 53-man roster with strong preseason performances. With work ethic like this, the undrafted defensive back might just turn his class act into a roster spot.

Takeaways, a priority for the Bucs defense

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ defensive coaching staff has stressed takeaways to give the ball back to the offense. The narrowed focused has paid off, with several players racking up both interceptions and pass breakups, including Antoine Winfield Jr.,Bryce Hall, Tykee Smith, Benjamin Morrison, among others.

As defenders have been eating, sleeping and breathing turnovers throughout the offseason workout program, the instruction has led to muscle memory and manifestation on the field.

After the team selected Benjamin Morrison in the second round of the draft in April and later got Jacob Parrish, the team’s depth grew significantly. Now, cornerback is loaded and the production of both Parrish, who has taken significant reps at nickel, and Morrison, who had an interception in the indoor practice, has led to enhancement in the room.
