Shedeur Sanders will face his first start with the Cleveland Browns after stepping in for Dillon Gabriel on Sunday, November 16, when Gabriel absorbed a hit that placed him in the concussion protocol and ruled him out for the Week 12 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Ahead of this first opportunity to lead the Browns’ offence from the opening kickoff, Shedeur Sanders has received particularly meaningful support, encouragement that will undoubtedly motivate him as he aims to deliver a standout performance. His sister, Shelomi, who plays as a guard for the Alabama A&M Lady Bulldogs, sent him a message of support as she also prepares for her own upcoming start.

Shedeur will need to prove he has far more to offer than what he displayed last Sunday in Week 11 against the Baltimore Ravens. That afternoon, he managed only 4 completions on 16 attempts for a modest 47 yards and one interception, a performance that highlighted the steep challenge awaiting him now that he assumes full responsibility under centre.

On Wednesday, November 19, the Browns announced through their social media channels that Shedeur Sanders would be the starter due to Gabriel’s injury. His sister quickly reposted the message, wishing her brother the very best as he steps into this new role with the franchise.

The message from Shelomi Sanders to Shedeur

Using her social media platforms, Shalomi Sanders made sure the moment did not go unnoticed, sending her brother, Shedeur, a message of support as he prepares for the special milestone he will experience in the NFL on Sunday, November 23.

Show me sum, boss man .

In another story, she shared the message their father dedicated to her brother, revealing the central role love plays as the guiding force within their family.

The trials, tribulations & struggles that u face are only allowed to build u & not kill u. Live & Learn from everything u face & everything u go through. You wouldn’t have a testimony without the consistency of test. #CoachPrime.

Deion Sanders

It is worth recalling that Shelomi played the 2023-24 season with the program where her father, Deion, serves as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football team. But for the 2025 season, which marks her senior year, she chose to transfer and continue her career with Alabama A&M.

Shedeur Sander looks pretty excited for his next start

Shedeur Sanders has one of the most vital opportunities in his life to demonstrate to his haters that he is the great quarterback they need to change the narrative in Cleveland. His debut last game was a horror story, and now it will be the chance to demonstrate that he can handle the offence and win the game.

I know our fans have a lot of expectations and hope, and I would be doing a disservice to myself and a disservice to the organisation if I didn’t feel like I am the guy.”… “I’m doing everything I need to do, trying to be the best version of myself as possible.

With the circumstances, everything got sped up, and that’s great. I like pressure in life. I’m just excited for everything. I feel like I’m the guy. I know I’m the guy, but you know, the game’s got to speak.

The table is set for the young signal-caller to demonstrate he has what is needed to be successful in the league. There will be n more opportunities ahead. This is it.
