Shedeur Sanders received a strong warning from one of the most important players on the Cleveland Browns

His debut turned into a complicated moment for the Cleveland Browns quarterback, as things did not go well for him at all. The most painful part was that he entered the game in the third quarter with a 16-10 lead over the Baltimore Ravens, and they ended up losing 16-23, with a forgettable performance from the former Colorado Buffaloes player.

The moment was very emotional when Shedeur Sanders stepped onto the field; it was what the fans had been waiting for, and it happened after Dillon Gabriel suffered a concussion. At the start of the third quarter, Sanders took the field. Everything was excitement and hope until fans saw that the quarterback wasn’t in rhythm, and he ended up losing the lead against a divisional rival.

Despite having a performance to forget, according to Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot, it is almost certain that next Sunday Shedeur Sanders will make his first NFL start, since it will be very difficult for Dillon Gabriel to clear the concussion protocol. Against the Raiders, Sanders will have his first big opportunity.

The offensive starters have defended Shedeur Sanders

Sanders’ performance yesterday was a moment of satisfaction for his harshest critics, who were waiting for something like this to go even harder against the quarterback. Sanders completed only 4 of 16 passes for 47 yards, was sacked twice, and threw one interception. However, teammates revealed something important about the situation.

Shedeur Sanders had never practiced with the first team, and offensive lineman Wyatt Teller confirmed it: “I think I have heard his cadence like two or three times. I think going out of halftime, we all got on the line, and he said his cadence and we kind of got through it. Again, a lot of learning, but he played his heart out. We just fell short.”

In fact, one of the four passes Sanders completed against the Ravens went to Jerry Jeudy, and it later came out that it was the first time since the start of preseason that Sanders had thrown a pass to Jeudy. It was clear that Sanders was out of sync with his teammates when he took the field.

Remember that since the preseason began, Shedeur Sanders had always been the last option for the Cleveland Browns. At that time there were four competitors, and there was never a real opportunity for Deion Sanders’ son. Now fate has given him the chance to start in the NFL next Sunday, and it will be interesting to see him with a full week of practice with the first team for the first time.
