Shedeur Sanders‘ impact in the NFL is undeniable, with the Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback having the third best selling jersey for a newcomer, only behind former teammate Travis Hunter and the No. 1 pick in the 2025 Draft, Cam Ward.

The former Colorado Buffaloes superstar is having a great OTAs with Cleveland, as he fights for a spot on the final 53-man roster, as well as for the opportunity to start, a battle against veteran Joe Flacco, former first round pick Kenny Pickett, and rookie peer Dillon Gabriel.

All of them will have the same opportunity to start Week 1, according to offensive coordinator Tommy Rees. “These days we have probably the most reps to go around, so we’re able to balance them out (…) All those guys have done a nice job coming to work and understanding that each day is going to be a little bit different rotationally. And it’s an evaluation process for us still, so we’re just working through those as the days come.”

Shedeur makes a surprise visit to a youth football team

Shedeur Sanders has become close to the Cleveland community, as the superstar quarterback understands the importance of being a contender for the leadership of a franchise that have desperately look for football success without ever finding it.

As part of his involvement with the Ohio community, Shedeur made a surprise visit to the Ohio Ducks youth football program, part of the Cleveland Muny Football League. The kids were excited to see one of their favorite players in person, and they even hopped on Shedeur’s livestream of the visit.

However, some kids were more interested in talking to somebody else… Sanders’ former teammate with the Colorado Buffaloes, cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter. “Did you played with Travis Hunter? Can you call Travis Hunter?” a kid asked Shedeur. The quarterback responded that he would show the video to his friend, and the kids sent a message to the Jacksonville Jaguars rookie. “Travis Hunter, W Travis!” the youth players said.

Travis Hunter continues to impress in OTAs

Glimpses of the Jacksonville Jaguars‘ two-way rookie Travis Hunter lining up on defense during the team’s offseason program have thus far been few and far between. His dance moves have also caused a buzz among the league and the fans.

On one of its latest ones, Hunter lined up across from wideout Darius Lassiter and didn’t give his fellow rookie an inch of space on his route, then tipped an incoming throw away before re-collecting it while falling to the ground for a jaw-dropping interception.

Travis made the big catch without pads, in June, but Hunter’s sticky coverage and ability to convert a possession-changing snag where others might have come away solely with a deflection is exactly what the Jags want to see at this point.
