Shedeur Sanders loses his smile and is ruled out by the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants

With three weeks left until the NFL Draft, University of Miami product Cam Ward is solidifying himself as the top quarterback prospect. Barring any surprises, the Tennessee Titans are expected to select him with the first overall pick in an effort to rebuild the franchise.

Throughout this offseason, Shedeur Sanders has been in the spotlight, but it seems he is gradually slipping. This doesn’t mean he won’t be selected in the first round, but the son of Deion Sanders may have to wait.

The Giants and Browns are not looking for a quarterback

After the Titans, the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants have the next picks. Both teams have made moves suggesting they are not interested in Shedeur. The Browns appear to be focusing on strengthening their defense and are expected to select Abdul Carter, the defensive star from Penn State.

Meanwhile, the Giants have signed Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency as their new quarterbacks, which means the position in New York seems filled. As a result, Brian Daboll’s team may lean towards selecting Travis Hunter.

Giants and Browns are not drafting a quarterback, and Cam Ward will be the first pick

NFL insider Adam Schefter has stated that the New York Giants and Cleveland Browns will not select a quarterback in the first round, making it almost certain that Shedeur will drop a few spots in the Draft.

Additionally, Schefter emphasized that there is no chance that Cam Ward won’t be the first overall pick in the Draft.

“Zero chance, zero chance that Cam Ward is going to make it to the Giants at three. Just not going to happen. So, I expect that Cam Ward will be the number one pick in the draft, whether that’s Tennessee or Cleveland or the New York Giants making that pick. And this is all part of the process, right? You begin to evaluate all these guys, teams do deeper and deeper dives into them. From my perspective, in talking to more and more people before and after the combine, I’m just telling you, the conversations I’ve had have convinced me that Cam Ward will be the number one pick. And certainly, the first quarterback off the board, and certainly, I think, the number one overall guy.”

Shedeur could be drafted by the Raiders

The Las Vegas Raiders hold the sixth pick, and throughout last season, their fans dreamed of being in a position to select Shedeur. That dream might just come true for Las Vegas fans.
