Shedeur Sanders issues announcement that shows he is on his way to becoming a Browns superstar

Shedeur Sanders‘ rookie season with the Cleveland Browns was anything but straightforward, but it may ultimately prove to be the foundation of a rapidly rising NFL career, both on and off the field. Once projected as a potential first-round selection, Sanders became one of the biggest surprises of the 2025 NFL Draft..

Sanders was initially tipped to be a big-name pick. But when he slipped to the fifth round, going 144th overall to the Browns, his stock plummeted.

The unexpected fall immediately made him one of the most talked-about prospects entering the league, and his rookie campaign only added more intrigue.

Initially buried on the depth chart, Sanders began the season as a third-string quarterback and opportunities were limited early on under previous head coach Kevin Stefanski.

But his situation changed dramatically in Week 11 when he made his NFL debut in relief of Dillon Gabriel following an injury.

That appearance set the stage for a pivotal moment just one week later. In Week 12, Sanders earned his first career start against the Las Vegas Raiders, delivering a composed performance in a 24-10 victory.

He threw for 209 yards with a touchdown and an interception, showing flashes of the poise and accuracy that made him such a highly regarded prospect.

From that point forward, Sanders held onto the starting role, closing out the season as the primary quarterback for the Browns.

He appeared in eight games, starting seven of them, and finished with 1,400 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. His efforts were recognized with a Pro Bowl selection, an impressive milestone for a rookie who began the year deep on the bench.

Quarterback uncertainty lingers

Despite that late-season surge, uncertainty remains heading into 2026 under new head coach Todd Monken.

Veteran quarterback Deshaun Watson is expected to return from injury, and Cleveland could explore additional options at the position.

That leaves Sanders in a competitive and fluid situation as he prepares for his second NFL season.

However, while questions linger about his long-term role on the field, there is far less ambiguity surrounding his growing influence away from it.

Sanders has quickly emerged as one of the most marketable young athletes in professional sports.

His popularity surged throughout his rookie year, culminating in him being named Google‘s most searched athlete in the United States in 2025.

That level of visibility has translated into significant business opportunities and brand-building efforts.

On Sunday, Sanders took another step in expanding his off-field presence with a direct message to fans on social media.

“Follow @ss2legendary,” he wrote on his Instagram stories.

The announcement appears to signal the continued growth of his personal brand, with “SS2 Legendary” believed to be part of a broader fashion and lifestyle venture. It adds to an already impressive portfolio that reflects his ambition beyond football.

Which brands sponsor Shedeur Sanders?

Sanders has secured endorsement deals with major global brands, including Nike, Beats by Dre, Gatorade, AT&T, and BRADY Brand.

His partnerships also extend to Mercedes-Benz, KFC, Ralph Lauren, Delta Air Lines, Google, Under Armour, Oikos, Urban Outfitters, Topps, and Actively Black.

This combination of on-field potential and off-field business acumen positions Sanders as more than just a developing quarterback.

Even as he navigates competition within the Browns roster, he is steadily building a profile that aligns with the league’s biggest stars.

If his trajectory continues upward, Sanders may soon prove that his draft-day slide was merely a footnote in what is shaping up to be a high-impact NFL career.
