Shedeur Sanders isn’t buying a $500K Rolls-Royce, and his brother just proved it

Shedeur Sanders just can’t escape the spotlight, and not always for the right reasons. The rookie quarterback, freshly signed by Cleveland with a four-year deal, has found himself at the center of yet another controversy. This time, it’s about a flashy new Rolls-Royce. Fans were quick to assume it was his after a luxury vehicle appeared in a Well Off Media video filmed at the Sanders estate.

With a history of public scrutiny, particularly around his perceived wealth, speculation spread fast. Many online critics painted Shedeur as a privileged athlete, pointing to his $6.5 million NIL valuation during college and his famous last name as evidence that the car was his latest indulgence.

Big brother steps in

But before the fire got out of hand, Deion Sanders Jr., better known as Bucky, stepped in to clear the air. In a video posted on May 28, he responded directly to the speculation: “Why would y’all think this was Shedeur? Who said anything about this being Shedeur?”

Bucky explained that the custom brown-and-green Rolls-Royce was a sample delivered to him temporarily, not a personal purchase. “They let you drive it for like 30 days to see if you’re gonna get that,” he added, ending the rumor before it could escalate further.

Focused on football, not flash

Meanwhile, Shedeur has been staying focused on his NFL journey. When the topic of money came up in a recent interview, he joked about his rookie salary and signing bonus, saying, “I’m not trying to buy anything.” He even shut down the car rumors himself on X, writing, “Another lie…. I’m focused on my team not a car purchase!”

Coach Prime, as always, came to his son’s defense with a single word: “LIES.”

Same pressure, new stage

It’s nothing new for the Sanders family to be under public scrutiny. Whether it’s Shilo, Shedeur, or Deion himself, their every move is dissected. NFL great Chad Ochocinco Johnson weighed in, saying, “It comes with the last name… he has it all before he even got to the NFL.”

For Shedeur, football is the focus. The headlines may follow him, but on the field, he’s letting his game do the talking.
