Shedeur Sanders is sinking with the Cleveland Browns and seems to be collapsing just like in the Draft, all because of himself

The quarterback competition on the Cleveland Browns is polarizing the NFL, as one of the competitors is the media sensation Shedeur Sanders, who is currently the team’s fourth option. However, according to reports, he is fighting to prove why he was once projected to be a first-round pick.

There are still more questions than answers about why exactly Shedeur Sanders fell in the Draft. He was a top favorite to be selected right after Cam Ward, but instead, countless quarterbacks were chosen before him..In fact, the Browns-who picked him in the fifth round-selected Dillon Gabriel from the Oregon Ducks in the third round.

For now, nothing is set in stone in Cleveland. The battle is between veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, as well as the aforementioned rookies, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders. According to team insiders, in the mind of the Head Coach, the starting quarterback is expected to be Joe Flacco, who led the Browns to the playoffs in 2023.

Criticism of Shedeur Sanders continues

There’s no doubt that Shedeur Sanders is currently one of the most polarizing athletes in the United States-perhaps even worldwide-and all signs suggest this will continue for some time.

Sanders led all Big 12 quarterbacks with the Colorado Buffaloes in completion percentage (74%), threw for 4,134 yards, and generated 37 touchdowns, earning him notable accolades. However, he was passed over by 31 NFL teams.

The quarterback has a large fanbase but also many detractors-one of whom is Jason McIntyre from Fox Sports, who strongly criticized Shedeur Sanders.

“Despite all the hype around Shedeur, he’s the only Browns quarterback not training with the first team,” McIntyre said. “The guy’s motto is ‘Be Legendary.’ He’s throwing these extremely lavish NFL Draft parties. And he’s fourth on the depth chart-without a doubt.”

Because of who he is, Shedeur Sanders will have to keep working at full speed to prove all the talent people talked about before the NFL Draft-hoping to turn his story from a rejection into a league star.
