Shedeur Sanders is an electric and entertaining player; however, Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski has asked him to be patient

Everyone wants to know what will happen with Shedeur Sanders and the intense competition he’s engaged in for the starting quarterback position with the Cleveland Browns. While there’s still plenty of time to determine who will actually be calling the plays in Week 1 of the NFL season, day by day, the narrative about the former Colorado player‘s poor attitude seems to have faded. In fact, his qualities related to both his game and discipline are now being highlighted.

Head Coach Kevin Stefanski praises Shedeur Sanders

In an exclusive interview on the Cleveland Browns’ YouTube channel, Kevin Stefanski discussed the team’s training, the high competitiveness of the roster, and what he’s learned about Shedeur Sanders during this time.

“I don’t know that we’ve learned anything new, because like you mentioned, I feel like we have a great feel for this young man. He’s a very, very hard worker. He has fun when he’s in the building. I’m enjoying watching him progress with every single meeting, with every single rep. He’s doing a great job, and I think as a young player – I don’t care what position you’re playing – you’re going to run a play or you’re going to get something wrong. That’s so valuable, because then you get to correct it and get it right the next time,” he commented.

“I think he’s showing up early, he’s staying late, and he continues to get better every single day – and that’s the fun part. But just having him in the meeting room brings a great personality in there. It’s fun to have,” he added.

Shedeur Sanders is part of the quarterback room alongside veterans Joe Flacco and Kenny Pickett, as well as fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel. At this point, it’s still unclear who will be the team’s starter, and it seems head coach Kevin Stefanski still has doubts he wants to resolve before getting closer to September.

According to reports, Joe Flacco or Kenny Pickett are likely to start the season, but at some point during the campaign, both Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel could get their chance to debut in the NFL.
