Shedeur Sanders has just accomplished something Josh Allen has not been able to in his career; a major blow to the NFL MVP

Despite the Buffalo Bills being eliminated in the divisional round by the Denver Broncos, Josh Allen is still considered the NFL MVP, although his days holding that title may be numbered. One day before the Super Bowl, the league will announce the new Most Valuable Player, with the award expected to go to either Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams or Drake Maye of the New England Patriots.

It is another season to forget for Josh Allen, as anything short of reaching the Super Bowl would be viewed as a failure for the Buffalo Bills. At the start of the season, Buffalo was widely considered the favorite to win the AFC. Additionally, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, and Lamar Jackson were not part of this year’s playoffs, making the loss even more painful.

The Buffalo Bills have not reached the Super Bowl since 1994 and have never won it. With the arrival of Josh Allen, it seemed that goal was closer than ever, but each year it becomes more difficult. Now in the AFC, Allen must compete not only with the previously mentioned quarterbacks, but also with emerging stars such as Drake Maye and Bo Nix.

Shedeur Sanders will play in San Francisco

This year, the Super Bowl was not the only objective for Josh Allen. Had he reached it, he would have completed the milestone of playing in every NFL stadium. However, after being eliminated, he will still have not played at the San Francisco 49ers’ stadium, the only venue the Wyoming-born quarterback has never stepped foot in. His dream was to play for the first time at Levi’s Stadium and lift the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Interestingly, Shedeur Sanders was selected for the Pro Bowl and will see action in San Francisco, specifically at the Moscone Center, a convention center located in downtown San Francisco. The event will host the AFC vs. NFC flag football game, along with several skills competitions.

Josh Allen was initially selected for the Pro Bowl, but the quarterback is dealing with a foot injury that could require surgery, in addition to the physical toll he suffered during the playoffs. This has raised doubts about his availability to actively participate in all Pro Bowl Games events, although it has not yet been officially confirmed that he will miss the event.

What is certain is that Josh Allen now has a new head coach following the dismissal of Sean McDermott. Joe Brady, who previously served as the team’s offensive coordinator, has been promoted to head coach. Brady’s main goal will be to lead Allen and the Bills to the long-awaited Super Bowl.
