Not even in his wildest dreams didShedeur Sanders imagine a debut like this in the NFL. He nailed every play, made the most of every moment with the ball, and showcased his skills throughout the game at Bank of America Stadium, in the victory of the Cleveland Browns against the Carolina Panthers.

Perhaps these preseason games were the perfect opportunity for franchises to give rookies valuable time on the field and showcase their skills. This was the case for the Browns, who handed Shedeur Sanders the reins after injuries to Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett, and with Joe Flacco resting for the match.

Despite the circumstances, Sanders delivered a memorable NFL debut. He completed 14 of 23 passes for 138 yards and threw two touchdown passes, quickly becoming one of the standout players on the field. His performance didn’t go unnoticed; many are talking about the young rookie’s impressive showing, with several notable figures praising his debut.

Social media is flooded with praise for Shedeur Sanders’ memorable debut, with three standout comments leading the chorus of admiration for his performance. These standout reactions perfectly capture the excitement and high expectations surrounding the young quarterback’s promising future.

Leading the accolades is one of the NFL’s biggest sponsors, Nike, which praised Shedeur Sanders’ performance on its official X football account. Nike wrote, “When you get your opportunity, create your next one,” alongside a photo of Sanders celebrating and the phrase “only matter of time” branded with their logo.

LeBron James, the Lakers superstar, was impressed by Shedeur Sanders’ debut and took to X to share his thoughts. “That young man looking good out there! @ShedeurSanders. Keep going UP!!! Head down on the grind and head high to the Most High.” the King wrote. The Cleveland Browns later reshared LeBron’s praise on their official channels.

Even his father, Deion Sanders, shared his pride with three heartfelt posts. Each message was short but full of encouragement, thanking God for Shedeur’s outstanding performance and cheering him on throughout the game.

What Shedeur Sanders told Coach Prime following his big game

At the end of the match, the man of the moment was Shedeur Sanders. Everyone wanted to talk with the rookie quarterback who delivered a standout performance in his NFL debut. During a conversation with NFL Network, Shedeur took the opportunity to send a funny message to his dad, Coach Prime.

“Sorry, Pops, I didn’t do everything I was supposed to,” Sanders joked at the end of the match when asked about his family and his dad. His lighthearted comment brought laughter from both the reporter and himself.

For now, it’s time to recover and focus on the next challenge. The Cleveland Browns will host the former NFL champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, in their season opener. Shedeur Sanders is eager to get more playing time and continue showcasing his skills.
