On Friday night, Shedeur Sanders made his long-awaited Cleveland Browns debut. Taking the reins as the starting quarterback for the team’s first preseason game, all eyes were on the fifth round pick. Fans wanted to see him shut up all of his haters, and he certainly did.

Sanders played extremely well, stunning many with an efficient performance with impressive individual plays sprinkled in. He ended the game with 157 total yards and two touchdowns. Shedeur Sanders gives himself a C+ for first Browns game

Speaking to the sideline reporter after getting pulled from the game, Sanders gave his performance a C+. He feels he did some things well, but there were aspects he could definitely improve going forward.

“I feel like today I did some good, some bad. And I know moving forward I won’t make the same mistakes twice.“

Sanders didn’t care to comment on whether this game could serve to move him up the Browns depth chart. It was a politically correct answer, but there’s no doubt he caught the attention of head coach Kevin Stefanski.

All other quarterbacks who missed this game – Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel – have some additional pressure heading into the second preseason contest.
