Shedeur Sanders’ dangerous off-field pattern of behavior that’s set to leave him off Cleveland Browns roster

With the NFL preseason a month and a half away, the Cleveland Browns still don’t have too much of an idea about who their starting quarterback will be. While it seemed that Kenny Pickett had pulled ahead, veteran Joe Flacco has come on strong over the past week and become a serious candidate. Rookie Dillon Gabriel hasn’t been discarded either, as he’s gotten some first team reps.

Shedeur Sanders is the fans’ choice to get the nod, but he appears to be far behind. It might only get worse for him, as his on-field play is now overshadowed by a worrying off-field trend. Sanders was caught speeding 60 miles per hour over the speed limit this week. And it’s not the first time this has happened.

Shedeur Sanders appears to have a speeding problem

According to reports, that wasn’t Sanders’ first speeding transgression. He had apparently gotten pulled over on June 6 for another speed violation, then failed to appear in court this Monday.

There’s also an unconfirmed report that Sanders drove 144 miles per hour in a 25 mile per hour zone a few months ago.

If that’s true, it’s another feather in the cap of a truly concerning pattern of behavior. The Browns are surely aware of all of it, which could end up making their quarterback decision easier.

The team likely won’t keep four quarterbacks on the roster, and Sanders has been fourth in line for reps every step of the way. Paired with this behavioral issue, the team could choose to cut ties and not deal with the drama for a player who won’t be starting anyway.
