While it’s unclear who exactly fronted the eye-popping amount, the gesture speaks volumes about the confidence Shedeur’s inner circle still has in his future, despite the draft slide and a less lucrative rookie contract ahead. Spotrac projects his four-year deal to be worth just over $4.64 million, far less than what he could’ve earned as a first-rounder.
Cleveland’s QB puzzle just got more complicated
Sanders now joins a surprisingly packed quarterback room in Cleveland. The Browns had already selected Oregon’sDillon Gabriel in the third round, and veterans like Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Deshaun Watson (who may miss the entire season with a torn Achilles) are also in the mix.
