Shedeur Sanders made headlines, not for his performance as a quarterback with the Cleveland Browns, but for being fined for speeding twice this month in Ohio, a situation that could potentially sideline him within the franchise.

After the news broke, amid his battle for the starting quarterback position, he spoke out, though his comments might further jeopardize his situation.

In a video from a Twitch stream, the Browns player addressed the recent reports stating he was driving up to 101 MPH.

“I’ve made some wrong choices, I can own up to it – I learn from them,” he admitted on his own channel on the platform.

Sanders was cited for driving a Dodge TRX truck at high speed on a suburban Cleveland highway earlier this week.

According to reports, the Strongsville Police Department stopped Sanders around 12:30 AM on Tuesday in an area where the speed limit is 60 MPH on Interstate 71, near the Ohio Turnpike.

Sanders, 23, could face a minimum fine of $250 to resolve the case, classified as a fourth-degree misdemeanor, according to police, but this wasn’t the only time he was stopped.

Another incident occurred on June 5 in Brunswick Hills, Ohio, when Sanders was pulled over for driving at 91 MPH in a 65 MPH zone, as confirmed by the State Patrol to WKBN-TV.

According to Medina Municipal Court records, Sanders failed to appear at a scheduled hearing on Monday. Browns spokesperson Peter John-Baptiste stated to AP on Thursday that “the team has directly addressed the fines with Sanders, and he will handle them appropriately.”
