Shedeur Sanders and the quarterback department are the Cleveland Browns’ big weakness; maybe no one can save them from a poor season

While analysts and experts debate who will be the next starting quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, the reality is that it’s not the only area of concern for a team striving to become more competitive in an NFL where there’s no margin for error.

While it’s true that other positions are well-covered with plenty of talent, it’s also clear that one of their weaknesses is precisely the quarterback position.

The Cleveland Browns’ biggest weakness

In a ranking reviewing each team’s starting lineup, Mike Clay of ESPN confirmed that the quarterback position is the one causing the most headaches for Kevin Stefanski and his staff.

“Biggest weakness: Quarterback. They say that if you have two starting quarterbacks, you have zero starting QBs. So what if you have four? Cleveland will roll out a rare, full-on competition between four underwhelming candidates: Joe Flacco, 40, journeyman Kenny Pickett, third-round rookie Dillon Gabriel, and fifth-round flier Shedeur Sanders. Perhaps one of the rookies will be a gem, but it’s hard to see much upside,” the ESPN article stated.

The Browns are in a peculiar situation. It can be said they’re the only team debating among four quarterbacks, with no hints yet about who will lead the team’s offense.

Meanwhile, all the spotlight is on rookie Shedeur Sanders, who is competing for the starting role against Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, and Dillon Gabriel.

What’s certain is that in the coming weeks, Kevin Stefanski will need to provide clues about who will take on the responsibility, as it’s critical to know which player the rest of the team will build the offense around.

We’ll keep waiting, knowing that the quarterback position remains a mystery for the Browns-and also one of the keys to success in the NFL.
