Shaquille O’Neal’s heated exchange with Adin Ross could lead to a lawsuit

NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has been threatened with a lawsuit after clashing with popular streamer Adin Ross at UFC 314.

Before the NBA playoffs run, O’Neal chose to head down to Kaseya Center in Miami for the event, which saw Alexander Volkanovski take on Diego Lopes in the octagon.

During the fight, streamer Ross publicized a video on his personal instagram account of O’Neal exchanging what looked like very tense words with him.

Another video showed the former Los Angeles Laker staring and jawing at Ross, meaning there was some ongoing tension throughout the night.

Seemingly expecting the former basketball star to punch him, Ross wrote on his Instagram Story: “@shaq please do it, I can’t wait to sue”.

Fans of the two celebrities were quick to respond to the flashpoint on social media.

“They beefing again,” one fan said.

“Shaq’s not playing around with Adin,” added another.

“why is adin talking like that though?” asked a third.

“Naw if you pissing off Shaq you (expletive) up….” added a fourth.

“If you piss off shaq you really gotta be a piece of (expletive),” commented a fifth.

“Lol this beef is so good,” posted a sixth.

The assumption is that the ‘beef’ between the pair started back in March 2025 when Ross slapped Shaq’s food out of his hand, but O’Neal only stared him down on that occasion.

Shaq still focused on the NBA

Never one to hold back when letting his opinion known, Shaquille O’Neal recently shared his thoughts on the current state of the NBA and why it’s changed since he was a player.

One of the topics he touched on was LeBron James and his seemingly never ending fountain of youth. The 40-year-old continues to be a key contributor for the Los Angeles Lakers and is showing no signs of slowing down, though Shaq says he knows why that is the case.

“Definitely,” Shaq said when asked if James’ longevity is due to the league being less physical. “Less physical. Right now, if you get a flagrant foul, you get fined (and) suspended. Guys aren’t even f***ing fouling hard no more.

“Back before I played it was crazy, but when I played it was crazy… People get mad. It’s just a product of what I see.”
