Have you ever thought about what you would call yourself if you were an NFL player? Shaquille O’Neal has already decided: “Black Kelce“.

The NBA legend stopped by the microphones of the podcast “New Heights” hosted by Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce, along with his brother Jason, former Philadelphia Eagles. There, Shaq gave more details about his nickname.

“You were on Inside the NFL, and you said if you played in the NFL, you would be known as Black Kelce,” Jason asked him.

What many people didn’t know about Shaquille is his background as a soccer player, and he even played tight end, just like Travis, but a knee injury forced him to sit out 8 weeks and then give up the sport:

A lot of people don’t know this, that when I was coming up, football was my sport. I was football all the way, and I was really good. I used to tell people, Too Tall Jones was my father. And I played nose guard on defense and tight end on offense.

After his time out of action, O’Neal revealed that it was his father who encouraged him to focus on basketball, and the rest is history.

O’Neal reveals his favorite song is by Taylor Swift

If you didn’t know Shaquille was a soccer player, this tidbit will surprise you even more: he’s an extra Swifftie.

During an episode of the Kelce Brothers podcast, Shaq chatted with Trav and Jason about his musical tastes and revealed that a Taylor Swift song is his favorite.

Building suspense, the NBA legend put “I Knew You Were Trouble” on playback and they began lip syncing. “That’s my favorite song in the world brotha, I love it” said Shaq elated and with a big smile on his face.

Travis pointed out that this song belongs to the artist again after buying her first six albums, among which is “Red” to which Shaquille’s favorite song belongs. “Shout out to Taytay … just got that song back too. She bought all her music back so it’s finally hers,” he said.
