One thing that sets pop idol Justin Bieber apart is his passion for sports. Specifically, the singer is a dedicated fan of teams from his home country of Canada, as shown when he attended Game 3 of the World Series between Los Angeles and Toronto on Monday. His presence did not go unnoticed by Kara Bieber.
Game 3 of the World Series kept fans on the edge of their seats. After ending in a 5-5 tie after nine innings of regulation, the game went to extra innings.
After 18 thrilling innings, the Dodgers emerged victorious with a solo home run by rookie Freddie Freeman, giving them a 6-5 victory and a 2-1 series lead.
In the Dodger Stadium stands, Bieber mourned his team’s defeat with the entire crowd, wearing Shane Bieber’s No. 57 jersey, a gesture that caught the attention of the star starter’s wife, Kara.
Kara and the Blue Jays are thrilled with Justin.
The team shared several images of the “STAY” singer on Instagram, including his heartbroken expression when Shohei Ohtani hit the tying home run in the seventh inning.
The Blue Jays captioned the carousel, “Belieber. Justin Bieber is supporting the boys in LA in his Shane Bieber jersey! #WANTITALL.” Kara, in turn, shared one of the images in her stories, with the message “Tomorrow!”
Although Kara didn’t clarify the meaning of the message, it’s very likely referring to a Toronto victory in Game 4 today at Dodger Stadium, which would tie the series at 2-2.
Justin stole the spotlight at the World Series
Kara wasn’t the only one to notice Bieber’s presence in Game 3. A video of the singer lamenting Ohtani’s home run and giving him a thumbs down went viral in a matter of minutes on Monday night.
Bieber isn’t just a baseball fan; he’s also been seen at NHL and NBA games, the Super Bowl, and has even attended some US Open tennis matches.
It’s still unknown if Bieber will attend tonight’s game, but one thing is clear: if he does, it will be further motivation in Toronto’s quest to win the World Series.
