Terence Crawford hit Shakur Stevenson in the pride, ‘Bud‘ is preparing for his possible fight against Canelo, however, he also uses his time to give interviews.
Crawford has been very active in the media and confessed that he would love to see Gervonta Davis vs Shakur Stevenson on the undercard of his fight against Canelo in September in Las Vegas
“It should be crazy Davis vs. Stevenson, between Crawford and Canelo. It would be great,” Terence told Manouk Akopyan
“If Tank wasn’t so arrogant as to not be on a Crawford undercard, that would be great”.
“I don’t see Tank in the background to any fighter, because I would see it as the Tank show… So, I don’t know, but it should be a good preliminary card,” said ‘Bud’.
Shakur was not very happy with those words
On his social media, Stevenson rejected the idea politely, making it clear that this was the opinion of his friend, but that he did not share it at all.
“I love you, buddy, but no. I think my cousin and I fought the biggest fight in the sport. The PPV numbers are going to be amazing… look what I’m saying!”
“And it’s not a knock on my colleague. I just believe in myself… For me, he’s the best, and after he beats Canelo, there will be no debate!” were Shakur’s posts on X
Is a fight between Gervonta and Stevenson far from happening?
It is true that, so far, Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis has not entered into formal negotiations for a showdown with ‘Sugar‘, leaving boxing fans speculating as to whether this eagerly anticipated clash could ever come to fruition.
