Shai Gilgeous-Alexander embarrass a young camper who thought he could guard him

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder are getting ready to defend their championship and beging their quest to win multiple NBA championships.

After beating the Indiana Pacers in an exciting NBA Finals that went to seven games, OKC has plenty of reasons to believe that they could contend again for another Larry O’Brien Trophy.

The fact that they have one of the youngest NBA rosters to date – 24.1 years old being the average player’s age – and that many of its stars are coming back for the 2025-2026 regular season, are among the main factors that make the Thunder a contender squad next campaign.

SGA embarrass a young camper

NBA champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who won the regular season and Finals MVP this past summer, schooled a young camper who thought he could guard the flashy guard. SGA shook the young basketball player, and after getting away from the challenger, he completed the alley-oop to himself, which made the rest of the campers go absolutely wild.

Gilgeous-Alexander enjoyed some downtime at his hometown in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada., where he hosted a kids’ basketball camp, and he got to showed off some of his isolation skills against the campers. That’s his bread and butter with three straight 30-plus point campaigns.

Some of Gilgeous-Alexander’s teammates were in attendance for his camp, including Jalen Williams, Isaiah Joe, Kenrich Williams, Branden Carlson and Brooks Barnhizer. That goes to show just how close the OKC players are to each other, a strong bond that allows them to have sucess in the NBA.

OKC, with a promising future

After enjoying the NBA championship for the last couple of months, the Oklahoma City Thunder will soon start their title reign with the hopes of being a rare repeat winner. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander might’ve had one of the best individual seasons ever with an MVP and ring, but that doesn’t mean basketball stops.

The Thunder will enter the 2025-26 regular season as the popular title favorite. Oklahoma City will tip off the 2025-26 season with its home opener on Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Paycom Center against the Houston Rockets before heading on the road for a three-game trip that starts at the Indiana Pacers on Oct. 23.

During the 2025-26 season, the Thunder will host 18 home weekend games consisting of six Friday, two Saturday and 10 Sunday contests. Additionally, the Thunder will host seven homestands comprised of at least three games, including one five-game homestand from March 27-April 5.
