Serena Williams‘ husband and tech entrepreneur Alexis Ohanian recently found himself basking in joy after receiving a heartfelt compliment for his cherished Papa Pancakes tradition. Ohanian‘s pancake-making sessions with his daughters have gained widespread admiration, but this acknowledgment from a fellow father brought him extra pride.
Ohanian, who frequently shares glimpses of his pancake-making artistry on social media, revealed that a fellow Disney World visitor recognized his efforts.
“GM. Especially to the fellow Disney Dad who saw me yesterday and complimented me on my #PapaPancakes-thanks, brother,” Ohanian said on X.
Shortly after, the admirer identified himself, retweeting the post and humorously calling Ohanian a “true champion.” Ohanian’s gracious response, “Appreciate ya,” further highlighted his humility and commitment to fatherhood.
The Papa Pancakes tradition, which began with Ohanian‘s eldest daughter Olympia, involves crafting intricate pancake designs ranging from Disney princesses to fun shapes like hamburgers. Since the birth of his second daughter, Adira, Ohanian has included her in this special family ritual, reinforcing his role as a devoted “girl dad.”
Destined to be a girl dad
Ohanian has never shied away from expressing his love for his daughters. On his Business Dad podcast, he reflected on fatherhood, saying, “I figured I was destined to have girls, and it’s awesome to be a girl dad.”
He added that raising his daughters has brought him immense fulfillment, underscoring the importance of being present and providing unconditional love.
At just two years old, their first child, Olympia gained recognition as the youngest professional sports team owner, sharing the investment with her parents.
“As someone who spends hours kicking around a football with my two-year-old daughter, I want her to have a front-row seat to this revolution,” Alexis Ohanian said in the past.
“I’m personally investing on behalf of my family because creating more opportunities in women’s sports is important to my wife and me, and we want to be a part of making a better future for our daughter.”
