After being eliminated from the Playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers were harshly criticized and several rumors and questions arose from this storm. In the eye of the hurricane is one of its stars, LeBron James, who even talked about his retirement.
Away from those comments, his wife, Savannah James, hogs all the attention. To celebrate the evolution of black elegance and dandyism, the theme of this year’s Met Gala is “Superfine: Black Style Tailoring.” And Savannah got it perfectly.
Making her debut at the event, she appeared in a bespoke burgundy velvet suit from luxury brand Alexander McQueen, paired with silver jewelry and black stilettos to complete the look. Through a video and a post on her social media, Savannah shared all the details of her outfit: “A little before the Met Gala” , she wrote. What did King James think of it? His wife’s beauty left him speechless, as he commented on fire emojis and drooling faces.
And though LBJ was nothing less than the event’s honorary co-chair, looking totally natural and presiding gracefully, Savanna stole all the flashbulbs.
Draymond Green’s wife Hazel Renee‘s comment on Savannah’s post reinforced her own power and made it more than clear that she is in control of her own life: “WHEWWWWWWWWWW YOU AINT PLAYING IN NEW YORK SIS!!!!” she wrote.
Savannah certainly has a lot to say and is already making her voice heard. Now all that remains to be seen is what the glamorous couple will wear, but the businesswoman has already made her mark and has proven that she walks tall.
LeBron’s future
With plenty of time off after failing to advance to the Conference Semifinals, LeBron could use these days to decide what jersey he will wear next season and whether he will continue on the courts.
Although he is expected to prioritize a maximum contract, unlike last year when he took a $2.7 million pay cut, there is nothing confirmed about his continuity with the Lakers or another team.
However, his family’s ventures there, a revamped roster and his son Bronny’s contract with the Lakers make his departure from Los Angeles unlikely.
