LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers ended their playoff run early after being eliminated by the Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves during round 1 of the NBA posteason.
One of the best basketball players ever couldn’t find the answers to defeat the Twolves, even if the Lakers added Slovenian superstar Luka Doncic in a blockbuster trade with the Dallas Mavericks that sent All-Star center/forward Anthony Davis.
“There’s always a mix of disappointment and gratitude,” Lakers coach JJ Redick said after getting eliminated. “Certainly disappointed (because this result is) not something that I ever envisioned with this team, having to go in and talk to them after losing in the first round, but give Minnesota a lot of credit.”

LeBron James absolutely loved the look, as he posted eight emojis with saliva drooling from one corner of its mouth. And fans praised Savannah for her superb look. “Only a Midwest could hot like this!” posted an IG user. “Big Virgo energy,” said another person. “The only basketball wife I enjoy seeing in my algorithm,” wrote another Instagram user. “Someone needs to make a song for Savannah,” added someone else.
Big stars will shine at the Met Gala… except LeBron
Unfortunately, LeBron James will not be a part of the 2025 Met Gala, with the Los Angeles Lakers superstar posting to his X fans the reason why. “Because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight, as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on! Hate to miss an historical event! My beautiful power Queen will be there holding the castle down as she always has done!” he posted.
Nevertheless, the event is going to be full of singers, movie stars and athletes that include TV star Pamela Anderson, Hip Hop legend André 3000, influencer and entrepreneur La La Anthony, R&B legend Babyface, global music superstar Bad Bunny, actress Halle Bailey, and music icon J Balvin.
The Met Gala’s theme this year is Tailoring Black Style, inspired by Monica L. Miller‘s book “Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity,” published in 2009. And tonight’s dress code is “Tailored for You”, a reference to the suiting and menswear which features in the main exhibition.
