Savannah James has never been one to hold back. The wife of NBA legend LeBron James is a fearless entrepreneur, a respected leader, and the heart of one of basketball’s most high-profile families. But when it comes to protecting her children, Savannah draws a firm line.
Mrs. James is the proud mother of three: LeBron Jr.-better known as Bronny–Bryce, and Zhuri. Bronny is beginning his professional basketball journey in the G League, Bryce recently committed to the University of Arizona, and young Zhuri is enjoying her childhood with flair.
While “King” James is closely involved in his children’s lives, many credit Savannah as the steady force behind their success. And though risk-taking often plays a role in achievement, Savannah is quick to recognize when a thrill isn’t worth the danger.
Skydiving? Not happening, says Savannah
On a recent episode of her Everybody’s Crazy podcast, a fan brought up skydiving. April McDaniel, Savannah’s co-host, responded enthusiastically with an immediate “yes.” But Savannah’s response was markedly different-she went straight into protective mom mode.
“I think it’s one of the ultimate thrill-seeking activities,” Savannah admitted. “But if my baby told me-or any of them-that they wanted to skydive, I’d be like, ‘Please don’t.'”
She acknowledged that many who’ve done it say it’s unforgettable, but added, “I don’t want to like rain on the parade, but, like, as a mama, it’s giving absolutely not.”
Respecting the thrill-But standing firm
Savannah made it clear she wasn’t dismissing the idea entirely. She told the fan, “It’s not crazy. I think that’s one of those things people say is on their bucket list. So it’s not crazy.”
The lighthearted exchange ended on a warm note when the fan shared, “Hey, I’m a big LeBron fan.” But Savannah had one final message: while bucket lists are personal, skydiving is off-limits for her kids.
