The fireworks weren’t just for show at today’s press conference in Los Angeles. Ryan Garcia and Devin Haney came face-to-face to promote their upcoming fights, but the event quickly turned into a verbal showdown that reignited their already bitter rivalry.
Garcia, who is set to take on Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero, seemed relaxed at first, keeping the focus on his opponent. Haney, gearing up to fight Jose Ramirez, wasn’t as calm. When the topic of Haney’s chin came up-referencing Garcia’s multiple knockdowns in their fight last April-the energy in the room shifted.
Haney wasted no time bringing up Garcia’s positive test for Ostarine, the banned substance that led to the fight’s result being overturned. “I got up every single time against somebody on PEDs,” Haney said, implying that Garcia’s win wasn’t legitimate.

That’s when Garcia snapped. His frustration, built up over months of controversy, erupted on stage. “That bull**** Ostarine, which you probably did set up,” Garcia shot back, claiming he was framed. “Where’s your little brother? Is your brother in the house? Because he knew before anybody else, and you don’t answer that question.”
Haney, unfazed, hit back. “You took your punishment because you knew you were guilty,” he said, referencing Garcia’s one-year suspension and $1.1 million fine.
Garcia wasn’t having it.“Ostarine don’t protect you from blocking a left hook. You got hit 1000 times. You got dribbled off the canvas,” he fired, making it clear that, regardless of the controversy, he believes he dominated their fight.
Haney doubled down, using the moment to send a message to young fans. “Kids, do not do drugs. Do not do drugs, kids. PEDs.”
Garcia scoffed.“You had that in your back pocket,” he said, dismissing Haney’s remarks as rehearsed.
The intensity between these two isn’t dying down anytime soon. While both have separate fights ahead, the tension suggests their paths will cross again. With unfinished business, a rematch feels inevitable. Until then, fans will have to settle for the drama outside the ring-at least for now
