Ryan Clark weighs in on Tom Brady controversy: “He can’t have it all, folks!”

Is Tom Brady spreading himself too thin? Besides holding a minority ownership stake in the Las Vegas Raiders, he’s also balancing his commitments as a Fox Sports analyst. This juggling act has raised eyebrows, especially after he was seen spending time near the coaches’ booth following the Raiders vs. Chargers matchup.

Although Brady has chosen not to comment on the growing speculation, former players and analysts are weighing in on the situation.

The most recent voice to weigh in is former NFL safety Ryan Clark. He openly questioned whether Brady can effectively manage both roles. “Tom Brady can’t have it all y’all!! He’s one of the brightest football minds in the history of the game,” Clark stated.

“He’s aware of what it looks like switching from commentating in the booth one day to sitting behind Chip Kelly with headphones the next. Whether or not that provides an advantage, it just doesn’t sit right. Is he picking up valuable intel from his broadcasting job to share with the team? Maybe, maybe not. But if anyone could figure something out… it would be him!” he added on X.

As a player, Brady was known for his keen football intelligence. Even at 40, he played as if he were still in his prime, making complex strategies seem straightforward-a talent Clark believes could translate to uncovering useful information if given the chance.

Concern grows over access to team information

Clark raised the possibility that Brady could be acquiring privileged information during his broadcast duties. “Is he getting enough information from teams during his day job to pass along any nuggets? Hell, maybe/ maybe not. What I do know is if anyone could figure some good stuff out… he could!” he wrote on X.

NFL reporter Dianna Russini echoed these concerns, saying Brady has been deeply involved with the team’s operations, regularly communicating with general manager John Spytek and head coach Pete Carroll. She also noted that Brady had not responded to her attempts to discuss the matter.

Meanwhile, Rodney Harrison, an NBC Sports analyst and former player, highlighted the conflict of interest. “When we walk on that field, we get so much information,” he said. “It’s definitely a conflict of interest.”

The controversy has even reached NFL ownership circles. One anonymous owner criticized Brady‘s dual roles, saying, “They are getting an unfair advantage whether they capitalize on it or not.”

Although the league enforces certain restrictions-barring him from team practices and limiting access to meetings-those limitations have been loosened this season. Brady can now attend production meetings virtually, a decision that has only fueled more skepticism.

As scrutiny increases, many are now watching how the NFL and Brady himself will respond to the ongoing debate.
