Russell Wilson has become one of the most sought-after players, so much so that he is taking the time to listen to the offers on the table.
The quarterback still hasn’t decided which team he’ll sign with, but speculation is rampant as time goes on. His last team was the Steelers and he has a decision to make, but for now he’s keeping his cool and taking it easy.
Last Thursday, Wilson traveled to Cleveland to negotiate, but he was also in New York on Friday, continuing to analyze everything calmly.
Russell Wilson won’t give any clues
On Friday, cameras filled JFK Airport in anticipation of Mr. Unlimited’s arrival. Moments later, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback visited the facilities of both teams to explore options on where he will play next season.
Russell chose to keep his sunglasses and headphones on as he went through security, giving the impression that he was in a hurry to get to his destination.
The player avoided the press and left no clues as to his future, leaving more unknowns and a lot of suspense for his fans who are eager to know what his next challenge in the NFL will be.
New York and Cleveland need a player like Russell
Both franchises are in desperate need of an experienced quarterback. They finished with a 3-14 record, the terrible season they had forces them to improve the team and it seems they are showing signs of doing so.
At 36 years of age, Wilson is still considered a reliable quarterback capable of leading an offense with the right scheme, especially in systems that emphasize the run and the pass. However, his market potential could be diminished due to his age and the tendency to offer him short-term contracts.
We’ll see what’s in Russell‘s best interest, but whatever decision he makes is sure to be talked about in the NFL world.
