Roki Sasaki changes seats after sniffing Tyler Glasnow’s chair: Fans think they know the strange reason for his behavior

The Los Angeles Dodgers secured their place in the National League Championship Series for the fourth time in six seasons, after defeating the Philadelphia Phillies 2-1 in extra innings in Game 4 of the NLDS. The victory was due in large part to the strong performances of pitchers Tyler Glasnow and Roki Sasaki, who were key to the Los Angeles team’s qualification.

However, after the game, an unusual situation between the two players went viral on social media and generated all kinds of reactions among fans.

Sasaki’s strange gesture after the press conference

During the post-match conference, Roki Sasaki was caught using his hand to smell the seat where Tyler Glasnow had been sitting, before replacing it with another chair. The strange action was interpreted by fans as a confusing and even comical moment.

On social media, several users began to joke about what happened, speculating on what might have motivated the Japanese pitcher’s gesture. Some comments said:

– “Did he do it in the seat?” asked one fan.

– “Why did he smell it after cleaning it?” wrote another user.

– “Bro made himself a Scooby Snack,” commented a third, mockingly.

Fans explain what really happened

Faced with the avalanche of memes and comments, other fans offered a more logical explanation of the scene. According to several fans, Glasnow was covered in champagne after the celebration for the qualification and had not showered before the interview.“Glasnow was drenched in champagne. He hadn’t showered yet,” one fan explained.

“That’s why the seat was covered in champagne,” added another user.

The situation was quickly clarified, although the clip continued to circulate widely on platforms such as X (Twitter), TikTok and Reddit, where thousands of comments combined humor and confusion.

Dodgers celebrate, but the moment steals the show

Although the victory put the Dodgers one step away from the World Series, the unusual gesture between Glasnow and Sasaki ended up stealing the spotlight on social media. Some fans even joked about the Los Angeles team’s eternal bad reputation, writing phrases such as:

“The Dodgers never escape accusations,” commented one user with a laugh.

The incident, while insignificant, demonstrates once again how a simple moment out of context can go viral, even in the middle of one of the most important series of the season.
