Robert Griffin III has the best comment that defines Caitlin Clark’s come back: “She just went crazy”

Caitlin Clark’s return to play was simply amazing. After not playing five games due to a quad injury, the Indiana Fever player performed great against the New York Liberty.

She scored 32 points, hit seven three-point shots, and got nine asssists and eight rebounds in a 102-88 win. This was the first loss for the Liberty this season, making Clark one of the most exciting players to watch in the league.

Griffin went on X to express his excitement

Robert Griffin III, who won the Heisman Trophy and played as NFL quarterback, praised Clark too. On social media, he said:

“Caitlin Clark just went CRAZY on the best team in the WNBA. First game back, 7 three’s, 32 points, 9 assists, 8 rebs and a win over the top-ranked New York Liberty to give them their first loss of the season. There is NO DOUBT who the most exciting player in the WNBA is.”

Griffin has always supported Clark since she joined the WNBA, even when old players criticized her. Last year, when some players were not nice to her, Griffin said, “It’s VERY CLEAR WNBA players are tired of Caitlin Clark getting all the shine… If they don’t like it, THEN STOP HER.” His strong support has made him one of her biggest fans.

Clark came back like a rocket

Clark’s play is changing the WNBA. Alongside fellow rookie and fan-made rival, Angel Reese, she is making more people watch and making the game more exciting. Griffin once said, “Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese aren’t playing like rookies. They are TAKING THE WNBA BY STORM in their own way.“

Clark’s game against the Liberty just makes her look even better. With help from Kelsey Mitchell (22 points), Lexie Hull (14 points), Aliyah Boston, and Sydney Colson, the Fever’s plan worked well to achieve victory. For the Liberty, Sabrina Ionescu (34 points) and Breanna Stewart (24 points) tried hard, but could not beat Clark.

As the season goes on, Clark’s role in the WNBA keeps growing. With amazing games and strong support from people like Griffin, she stays key in the changing scene of the league. Each game, she shows she’s not just a new star, but the most thrilling player in the WNBA.

With great power comes great… backlash?

Caitlin Clark has faced criticism recently, regarding her body language during the latest game between Indiana Fever and the New York Liberty. When she missed a long shot, she then got mad because her teammate, Natasha Howard, ran to shoot rather than pass the ball back to her. She threw her hands up, making fans take sides. Some stood by her, pointing out her great play run, but others thought it showed bad team spirit.

Also, Clark is often in the middle of big WNBA controversies. Some say she gets too much press over other top players. Former WNBA legend Candace Parker spoke up, saying the ongoing comparisons between Clark and Angel Reese are too much and not good for the sport.

Even with all this talk, Clark stays a key name in her game, pulling in lots of fans and shaping how people see the WNBA.
