Reggie Jackson praises Shohei Ohtani, who has yet to take his Mr. October title

Shohei Ohtani showed in Game 4 of the National League Championship Series where the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Milwaukee Brewers five runs to one to sweep them and qualify for the 2025 World Series, and for the second season in a row, why he is called the face and the best player currently in Major League Baseball.

The Japanese two-way phenomenon hit three home runs and pitched six innings with 10 strikeouts. His three homers in particular drew a reaction from Reggie Jackson, the legendary ‘Mr. October’.

Reggie Jackson, the legendary ‘Mr. October’, could not contain his admiration for Shohei Ohtani and posted on his official account on the social network X (formerly Twitter) the following: “I say wow! and CONGRATULATIONS Shohei! for an incredible performance. My hat and a bow to your performances tonight.”

Reggie Jackson was nicknamed “Mr. October” because of his remarkable performances in crucial playoff games, especially in the World Series, which he won five times, three with the Oakland Athletics from 1972 to 1974 and two with the New York Yankees in 1977 and 1978.
