Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Ben Cleveland has filed for divorce from his wife, Kaitlyn Terrell, citing adultery as the reason for their separation.
According to court records obtained by TMZ Sports, Cleveland filed the paperwork in Baldwin County, Georgia, on February 28-just 16 days after he was arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) in the same county.
While the legal documents do not provide further details about Cleveland’s accusations against his wife, they confirm that the couple, who married on July 21, 2022, officially separated on December 29, 2024. Interestingly, his recent DUI arrest was not referenced in the divorce filing.
Cleveland’s personal turmoil escalated in February when he was arrested for DUI after being pulled over during a traffic stop in Georgia. Reports indicate that he had a .178 blood alcohol concentration (BAC)-more than twice the legal limit-and admitted to having consumed “approximately 3-4 beers” before driving.
In addition to the DUI charge, Cleveland was cited for failure to maintain lane. While his divorce filing is separate from his legal troubles, these back-to-back developments have created an offseason full of challenges for the offensive lineman.
Neither Cleveland nor Kaitlyn Terrell has publicly addressed the divorce proceedings or the recent DUI arrest. However, their relationship appeared to be intact as recently as Christmas Day, when they were spotted together on the sidelines before the Ravens’ 31-2 victory over the Houston Texans-a moment Terrell shared in a Facebook post.
Cleveland’s NFL career and uncertain future
Originally selected in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft, Cleveland has been part of the Ravens’ roster for four seasons, appearing in 54 games with seven career starts. However, in 2024, he played in 17 games but did not start any.
Now a free agent, Cleveland faces an uncertain future in the NFL. His on-field performance and off-field controversies will likely be factors as teams assess whether to sign him for the 2025 season.
Meanwhile, the Ravens’ playoff run ended in disappointment after a 27-25 loss to the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Divisional Round, and Cleveland now finds himself navigating both a professional and personal crossroads.
With his divorce proceedings just beginning and legal matters still unfolding, Cleveland’s offseason is shaping up to be one of the most difficult stretches of his career. Whether he can bounce back on the field and rebuild his personal life remains to be seen.
