The Baltimore Ravens have stumbled out of the gate with a 1-5 record, but safety Kyle Hamilton insists the team isn’t ready to throw in the towel just yet.
Speaking on Wednesday, Hamilton emphasized the need for the Ravens to approach each of their remaining 11 games with playoff-level intensity. Staying focused and mentally locked in will be crucial as they attempt to turn the season around.
“I don’t think morale is low at all,” Hamilton shared, as reported on the team’s website. “There hasn’t been a drop in practice or energy around the facility. We still believe we have enough talent to make the playoffs and create some magic along the way.”
He acknowledged the challenges so far but stressed the importance of unity and commitment moving forward.
“This isn’t the time for chaos. It’s a moment when we have to stick together. We need to flip the script because what’s happened so far is unacceptable. People will say our schedule is tough, but eventually, we have to beat these teams in the playoffs.”
Addressing the negative expectations surrounding the Ravens, Hamilton said, “At 1-5, people see us as an easy win. It’s on us to silence that talk and turn things around.”
Overcoming steep odds
Since 1970, just four teams have managed to reach the playoffs after starting 1-5, highlighting how difficult the Ravens‘ situation is.
Their challenge grows even more urgent with a key game against the Chicago Bears coming up this Sunday. A win would help validate Hamilton‘s confidence and keep their postseason hopes alive.
Though the road ahead is tough, the Ravens remain determined to prove that their season isn’t over yet.
